Terms of Service

Last updated June 2026

Summon is a conceptual marketplace, currently in Beta. Quotes are generated by software, prices are deliberate and liberal, and delivery is best-effort and may be metaphysical. Please read these terms in that spirit.

1. What Summon is

Summon lets you name almost anything, receive a software-generated price quote, and fund it — alone or with others. It is an experimental, in-development service. Features, prices, and availability may change or break without notice.

2. Quotes & pricing

Quotes are estimates produced by an automated oracle, not binding offers. The same request may be priced differently over time. For impossible goods, a quote separates one-time "reality" (R&D) cost from per-unit cost; your share can fall as more backers join a cohort. Nothing about a quote guarantees that an item can or will be produced or delivered.

3. Payments & pledges

Card payments are processed by Stripe; crypto payments settle on-chain to the displayed address. A pledge funds a delivery slot and, where applicable, a share of shared costs. Large amounts may settle by wire or crypto. You are responsible for sending the correct amount to the correct address; on-chain transactions are irreversible.

4. Delivery

Delivery timelines are deadpan estimates ("eventually", "pending customs", "within the heat death of the universe"). We make no guarantee that any summon will be fulfilled within any timeframe, or at all. Impossible and experience items are inherently uncertain.

5. What we will not summon

We refuse, at any price, anything illegal or designed to harm a living thing — including violence, weapons built to harm, exploitation of minors, trafficking, illegal drugs, and similar. That filter does not bend.

6. Refunds

Given the conceptual and Beta nature of the service, payments are generally final. If something is clearly broken, contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Summon is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any failure to source or deliver a summoned item.
