Frequently asked questions
What is Summon?
A marketplace with one item in stock: anything. Name what you want, our oracle returns a real, liberally-margined quote, and you fund it — alone or with strangers.
Is this real?
It's a real, working site, in Beta, and a bit of a conceptual art project. Payments can be real; quotes are software-generated; delivery is best-effort and may be metaphysical. Summon the absurd at your own delight.
How does pricing work?
The oracle reads your intent and prices it three ways: existing goods get an acquisition price; experiences (like a performer) get a booking estimate with a range; and impossible things get a one-time "reality" (R&D) budget plus a per-unit cost.
What's a cohort?
For impossible goods, you don't buy one in isolation — you fund a path into reality. Start a founding cohort and your share is the R&D split across backers plus your own unit. As more people join, everyone's share falls.
How do I pay?
Card (via Stripe) or crypto (BTC, ETH, USDC) settled on-chain. Big summons exceed card limits, so they settle by wire or crypto.
What won't you summon?
Anything illegal or built to harm a living thing. No exceptions, at any price.
When will I get it?
Eventually. See your summon's delivery estimate. We're honest that some things — world peace, a unicorn — are aspirational.
